Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-29

Fired (the "App") is a personal pottery-tracking app. This policy covers what data the App collects, where it goes, and your rights over it. The short version: most of your data lives only on your device. The cloud side exists to support sign-in, community sharing, and optional backups — and you can delete all of it at any time.

What stays on your device

Your pottery projects, glaze library, clay library, technique notes, glaze applications, photos, and project references are stored locally in the App's SQLite database and your device's file system. The App does not transmit this data anywhere unless you explicitly share or back it up.

What the App sends to the cloud (Supabase)

If you sign in, the following is stored on our backend (Supabase, hosted on AWS in the United States):

  • Email address — used only to send a one-time sign-in code.
  • Profile — display name, optional bio, and optional avatar photo that you choose to upload.
  • Community posts — when you publish a piece, the photos, title, notes (if you opt to include them), and associated glaze info are uploaded to a public feed. You may publish anonymously; in that case the post is not linked to your display name in the UI, though it remains tied to your account so that you (and Pottery's moderation tools) can manage it.
  • Reports and blocks — when you report a post or block a user, that action is stored so we can review reports and enforce blocks. Blocked users are not notified.
  • Backups — if you enable Backup & Restore, an encrypted snapshot of your local database and photos is uploaded to your account's private storage. Only you can read your backups.

We do not use analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. The App does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, or any data not listed above. The App does not track you across other apps or websites.

Permissions the App may request

  • Camera — to take photos of your pottery work.
  • Photo library — to attach existing photos to projects.

These permissions are used only to capture or import images you explicitly select. The App does not scan or upload your library.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or marketing partners. The only third party involved is Supabase (the backend provider that stores your account, posts, and backups). Supabase's privacy practices are at <https: data-preserve-html-node="true"//supabase.com/privacy>.

Your rights

  • Access — your profile, posts, and backups are visible in-app.
  • Correction — edit your display name, bio, avatar, and posts any time.
  • Deletion — Profile → Delete account permanently removes your cloud profile, community posts, post photos, and backup files. Local pottery projects on your device are not affected (they live on your phone). You can also uninstall the App to remove the on-device data.
  • Export — Backup & Restore produces a snapshot you control.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change what we collect, we'll update this document and the "Last updated" date above. For free apps with a small user base, we may also notify you in-app.
