Community Guidelines
Welcome to the Fired community. These guidelines exist so the shared feed and per-glaze examples stay focused on pottery and feel safe for everyone who's posting their work.
What belongs here
Photos and notes about your pottery practice — pieces in any stage (wet, greenware, bisque, glazed, fired, finished), test tiles, glaze combinations, kiln results, technique experiments, and the back-stories that go with them. Constructive feedback and questions are welcome. Anonymous posts are allowed; the same standards apply.
What doesn't belong
- Off-topic content — non-pottery photos, promotional spam, repeated identical posts.
- Harassment, hate, or threats — toward any person or group, in any form (text, image, code-words). Disagreeing with someone's technique is fine; attacking the person isn't.
- Sexually explicit, graphically violent, or otherwise NSFW imagery. Pottery can absolutely depict the human form — figurative sculpture has a long, serious tradition — but explicit content isn't a fit for a general-audience feed.
- Illegal content or content that incites illegal activity.
- Copyright or trademark violation — only post photos and text you have the right to share. Don't republish someone else's work as your own.
- Personal information — yours or someone else's — that doesn't belong in a public post (addresses, phone numbers, etc.).
Reporting and blocking
Every post has a Report action. Use it if a post breaks these guidelines. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Confirmed violations result in the post being removed; repeated or severe violations result in the account being suspended or removed.
Every user has a Block action. Blocking hides that user's posts from your feed and prevents future interaction. Blocks are private — the other user is not notified.
Appeals
If a post or account is removed and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the takedown notification or email info@drewaveryceramics.com. We'll re-review within 24 hours.
We're potters first — let's keep this place a useful place to share work.
